HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Immaculata men's basketball dropped their Thursday night match against Haverford 78-66.
Keith Farmer earned 27 points on the night while recording a double-double for the Macs.
After some back-and-forth play early on, the Mighty Macs took a 12-8 advantage on a three-pointer from
Keith Farmer. The Fords, however, responded by going on a 10-0 rally of their own to take an 18-12 lead over the Macs. While the Macs pushed back, the Fords held onto a six-point lead at the half with the score standing at 34-28.
Farmer led the Macs offensively on the half, scoring seven of the Macs' 28 points. On the half, the Macs shot 10-for 24 (41.67%) from the field and 4-for-8 (50.00%) from beyond the arc.
The Macs came out swinging in the second half, going on a 9-2 rally to take a 37-36 lead. Unfortunately, the Fords then responded with a 24-12 run to take a commanding 60-49 lead. The Mighty Macs were unable to recover as the Fords came out on top with a 78-66 final score.
Immaculata was led on the match by
Keith Farmer, who recorded 27 points on the night, dropping two three-pointers and going 7-for-10 from the charity stripe. Farmer also earned a double-double, recording 15 rebounds on the night.
Asa Kitchen and
Brandon McCullough also recorded 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Mighty Macs were outshot 41.0% (25-for-61) to 39.3% (24-for-61) from the field on the game. The Macs also went 6-for-14 (42.9%) from beyond the arc.
Immaculata will return to action on Saturday as they return to Alumnae Hall for a game against Alvernia at 3:00 P.M.
