ASTON, Pa. – The Immaculata women's soccer team dropped their Atlantic East Quarterfinal match 2-0 on Monday against Neumann. The Mighty Macs now conclude the 2021 season with a 3-13 record overall.
Through 45 minutes, the score remained 0-0. On the first half, the Mighty Macs put on a strong showing, leading the Knights 9-7 in shots taken and 3-2 in shots on goal.
Five minutes into the second half, Neumann got broke the ice as Liz Purcell scored on an assist from Chloe Britton. Then, in the 57
th minute, Riley Adinolfi scored to give the Knights a 2-0 lead.
On the match, Neumann outshot Immaculata 14-10. Individually, the Macs were led by junior
Kristen Guthier, who recorded seven shots on the match.
