SCRANTON, Pa. – The Immaculata field hockey team dropped its Atlantic East Quarterfinal match against Marywood 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Macs now end the season with a 4-15 record overall and a 1-4 conference record.

Gabby Greco was the first to score on the match, scoring in the 12
th minute on an assist from Theresa Cerutti to give the Macs a 1-0 lead.
54 seconds into the second quarter, however, Cydney Lahr scored to tie the game at 1-1 for Marywood. Lahr scored again six minutes later to give Marywood the lead 2-0.
The Mighty Macs then responded in the 26
th minute as
Maddy Edwards scored off an assist from
Lauren Buckel to tie the match up 2-2. With seconds remaining before the half, however, the Pacers took the 3-2 advantage on a goal from Mackenzie Hoats.
At the half, the Macs were being outshot 14-2 while down 3-2 overall.
Six minutes into the second half, Marywood increased their lead to 4-2 on a goal from Corrin Hasty.
The Mighty Macs attempted to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter, registering five shots on the period, but they could not break through. With four minutes to go, the Pacers secured their victory on a goal from Shannon Gosline.
Maddy Edwards recorded two shots on goal and one goal on the day to lead the Mighty Macs offensively.
