Ettien Records Three Consecutve Aces in Loss to Ursinus.

Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata women's volleyball team dropped their non-conference matchup against Ursinus 3-0 on Thursday evening. Emily Ettien recorded three straight service aces on the night for the Mighty Macs.
 
The Macs were down 11-7 in set one before the Bears went on a 14-3 run to seize set one 25-10.
 
Set two saw the Macs and Bears going back-and-forth with the score locked up at 22-22 in the set. The Bears then took advantage of a service error and a subsequent service ace to take a 24-22 lead before securing the 25-22 set win on a kill.
 
The Mighty Macs took the lead early in set three and owned a 12-9 lead when Emily Ettien stepped up for her turn to serve. Ettien then dropped three consecutive aces to increase the Macs' lead to 15-9. Unfortunately, the lead would not hold as the Macs dropped set three 25-22 as the Bears swept the Mighty Macs.
 
Ettien led the Mighty Macs in aces and assists with three and 22, respectively. Ava Thorley, meanwhile, led the Macs with eight kills while Isabelle Davis earned a team-leading 14 digs on the night.
 
The Mighty Macs return to action tomorrow night as they face Centenary to close the regular season. Prior to the match, the Mighty Macs will honor their senior class.
