IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Men's Volleyball team returned to Alumnae Hall on Saturday afternoon and fell 3-0 in CVC play against Marymount. The Mighty Macs dropped the sets by the scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-6.
Patrick Zeoli and Garrett Pepper paced Immaculata with three kills apiece while John Carter had a team-high 10 digs. Zeoli and Steven Dao finished with two blocks apiece for Immaculata (2-10,1-5).
Haden Franken had a game high 10 kills to lead Marymount (11-9, 4-2) as Hayden Kerekes registered seven kills and picked up five service aces.
The Saints outhit Immaculata .370 to .037 in the match and finished with 16 service aces in the match.
In the opening set, Immaculata held an early 3-2 lead following a kill by Zeoli and an attack error by the Saints. Marymount then used a 7-0 run to hold a 13-5 lead and cruised to a 25-15 win in the opening set.
Marymount dominated the final two sets and used strong runs to finish each set. The Saints closed the match with a .500 hitting percentage in the third and used a 15-1 run to seal the win.
Immaculata now has a 10-day layoff and will travel to Huntingdon, Pennsylvania to face Juniata on March 17th at 7 p.m.
