IMMACULATA, Pa. –The Immaculata men's basketball team remained home on Saturday afternoon for the second game of a special senior day doubleheader inside Alumnae Hall. Immaculata battled throughout before falling by a final score of 78-68.
Prior to the game, Immaculata honored its five seniors in 
Tim Moore, 
Jeffrey Powell-Young, 
Jordan Ambrose, 
Josh Singleton, and 
Greg Grandelli for their contributions to the basketball program over the last four years.
Jordan Ambrose ended the game as the Mighty Macs leading scorer with 12 points while 
Jake Strycharz and 
Asa Kitchen added 11 and 10 points, respectively. 
Steven Dao also led the team in rebounding iwht eight rebounds while 
Asa Kitchen added a team-best four assists in the setback.
Immaculata opened the scoring with an early three-pointer before a 7-0 run from Marymount gave the visiting Saints an early lead, which the Saints would eventually transform into a 25-12 lead with 8:26 to play in the first half. In the final 8:26 of the first half, Immaculata outscored its guests 19-13 to trail by just eight (38-31) heading to the halftime break.
Jordan Ambrose ended the first half as the Mighty Macs leading scorer with nine points on 3-of-6 shooting while 
Jake Strycharz and 
Asa Kitchen added six points each to lead the Macs offense in the opening half of play.
In the first seven minutes of the second half, Immaculata outscored its guests 13-8 to trim the deficit to just two points (46-44). Over the next three minutes, Marymount outscored its hosts 6-4 to extend the lead to 52-48. Immaculata would even the score at 57-57 with a corner three from 
Jake Strycharz with just under 9 minutes to play in regulation before Marymount outscored the Macs 8-4 over the next five minutes to claim a 65-61 advantage in the late stages of play. Marymount maintained this late advantage en route to a 78-68 senior day victory over Immaculata on Saturday afternoon.
Steve Etienne was a perfect 10-of-10 from the line for Marymount en route to a 28-point effort, which saw him lead Marymount in scoring in the victory on Saturday evening.
Immaculata will be back in action on Wednesday evening at Gwynedd Mercy with that contest set to begin at 8 p.m.
