BALTIMORE, Md.- Josh Fonder registered the second goal of his career, which also proved to be the overtime game-winner for the Mighty Macs as Immaculata completed a 3-2 overtime, comeback victory over Goucher on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened:
- Goucher stormed out of the gates scoring two goal sin the first 33 minutes of action to claim an early 2-0 lead heading to the halftime break.
- In the second half, it was all Immaculata as the Macs mounted an impressive comeback to tie the game and earn the victory in overtime. Michael Smith scored the Macs first goal in the 59th minute off an assist from Kevin Hegarty, which trimmed the deficit to just one.
- In the 73rd minute, John Bohrer scored the first goal of his career to even the score at 2-2, and eventually send the game to overtime.
- In the 94th minute, Fonder played the role of hero to earn the 3-2 comeback victory.
- Garrett Pepper got the start in goa lonce again and played well making five big saves while his counterpart did not record a save in his 93 minutes of action.
Inside the Box Score:
- At the end of contest, Goucher held a slight 14-11 lead in shots while also leading by an 8-3 margin in terms of shots on goal.
- Immaculata ended the contest with a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
