HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1
-Marywood developed the first threat in the bottom of the first, but Bormann worked around a pair of singles
-The Macs responded with two singles in the second, but also couldn't push anything across
-Bormann avoided trouble despite allowing hits in the third and fourth, and the Macs were held off the board through four innings as well
-The Macs had a decisive fourth to take the lead. Freshman Katy Newtown reached on an error and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Another error allowed Newton to put the Macs on the board, and after Bormann walked, Hindle delivered the big blow with her seventh home run of the season down the right field line to give IU the 4-0 advantage
-Bormann sat down the Pacers in order in the fifth, turned a double play herself on a line drive back to the mound, and then sat Marywood down in order in the seventh for the shutout victory
