IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's lacrosse team (3-7, 0-2 Atlantic East) fell behind 6-0 in Wednesday afternoon's Atlantic East conference matchup with Neumann (8-4, 1-0) at Draper Walsh Stadium and hung tough throughout the game, but they were unable to come all the way back in a 15-12 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Neumann took advantage of their early opportunities to build up an advantage as they scored six goals in the opening 10 minutes of the game while holding IU scoreless
-Kennedy scored her 33rd of the season to break the run, and would get another at the 16 minute mark, bu tit was around a Neumann goal which put them up 7-2
-The score held at 7-2 for the final 16 minutes of the first half with IU being denied several chances by the Neumann keeper, who had 10 first half stops
-After IU scored the first two goals of the second half to get within three goals at 7-4 on tallies by DiDonato and Krewson, Neumann fought back with three goals over the next three minutes to push the deficit back to six
-The teams exchanged two goals each before the Macs scored three straight by Cadden, Kennedy, and junior
Sarah Frick to again pull within three at 12-9 with 12:22 remaining
-A Krewson tally at the 5:52 mark brought IU within three again at 13-10, but two Neumann goals over the subsequent three minutes put the game out of reach at 15-10

Maura Murray and Cadden added goals to round out the score
TEAM COMPARISON
-The Mighty Macs outshot the Knights, 34-29, and scooped up 13 groundballs to 12 for Neumann
-IU also controlled the draw, winning 17 of 29
-The turnover battle was very even with IU giving it up 20 times and Neumann doing so 18 times
