BALTIMORE, Md. - The Immaculata University men's lacrosse team held a one-goal advantage after the first quarter Thursday afternoon at Goucher, but was outscored 17-2 in the second half to drop its non-conference finale to the host Gophers, 25-6. Steven Long netted three goals for his fifth hat trick of the season to lead the Mighty Mac attack.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Despite allowing the game's first goal at the 12:47 mark of the first quarter, Long and
Bobby Bausman were able to knot the game at two apiece with just over five minutes remaining in the first before Long and
Cole Metzger strung together back-to-back scores to give IU its first lead of the day at 4-2.
-Goucher netted five goals in the second half while holding the Macs scoreless in the period to take an 8-4 lead into halftime.
-Long and
James Barretta both netted goals in the third quarter to get the Macs within four in the early stages of the second half, but the host Gophers were in control the rest of the way with 17 second half goals to take the non-conference matchup, 25-6.
