IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's lacrosse team (4-8, 1-1) travelled to Marymount (10-5, 3-0) for their first Atlantic East matchup, and the Macs were in search of their second straight conference victory, but Marymount used a late first half run to take control and dealt IU a 20-8 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The game started well with junior
Layne Kennedy and Krewson scoring in the opening 2:18 for a 2-0 lead, but Marymount got two back over the next seven minutes and the game would remain tied at 2-2 midway through the first half
-The Saints resumed the scoring with five consecutive goals over a five minute stretch to take a 7-2 lead with just under nine minutes to go
-Cadden and DiDonato scored consecutively to slice the deficit back to three at 7-4 with 5:39 to go before the break
-The Saints' attack got stronger from there as they scored six of the final seven goals in the half with only a Krewson goal for the Macs, and they trailed 13-5 at the break
-In the second half, the Macs never got closer than seven as DiDonato scored twice and Cadden scored once in the 20-8 loss
