SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team (2-7, 0-1) travelled to Marywood (4-5, 1-0) on Saturday afternoon for their first ever Atlantic East Conference game, but the Macs were unable to match the Pacers first half scoring in an 18-5 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The start of the contest put the Macs down quickly and they were unable to make up the difference. Marywood scored the first six goals and seven of the first eight as they took a 7-1 lead after one. Barretta netted the lone IU tally in the opening period
-The Macs started the second quarter with a goal by freshman
Cole Metzger from sophomore Steven Long, but the Pacers then held the Macs scoreless all the way until the fourth quarter
-IU trailed 12-2 after two and 14-2 after three
-Senior
Ryan Ridolfi, Long, and Barretta all scored in the final period

TEAM COMPARISON
-Marywood took 50 shots to 37 for the Macs and the Pacers had 49 groundballs to 40 for IU
-IU won the battle in the faceoff circle, 15-11
-Marywood was efficient in their clear attempts at 22-for-27 while the Macs struggled at 11-for-20
