IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's lacrosse team (3-5, 0-1) hosted Marywood University (5-4, 1-0) in both schools first ever Atlantic East Conference contest on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, and the Pacers put up 14 first half goals as they held off the Mighty Macs and dealt them an 18-9 defeat.

Maura Murray was a stand out on the day with six points on four goals and two assists while juniors
Layne Kennedy and
Kayla Cadden each scored twice.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The start put the Macs quickly in the hole as the Pacers netted the first five goals of the contest before senior
Bailey Krewson got the Macs on the board just over eight minutes into the game as they trailed 5-1
-The teams then alternated the next four goals with Kennedy and Murray each getting on the board to put Marywood up 7-3 with just under 13 minutes remaining
-The Marywood offensive pressure did not stop as they netted seven of the next nine goals to close out the first half with a 14-5 lead. Murray and Kennedy again provided the tallies
-The second half saw a much slower pace with each team grabbing four goals apiece, two each from Cadden and Murray for the Macs
