READING, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's tennis team made its first road trip of the 2019 season to take on Alvernia in non-conference action. The Macs fell short to the Golden Wolves by a 9-0 final to even their season record at 1-1.

DOUBLES RESULTS
-All three Mighty Mac doubles pairings were defeated to begin the match, John McArthur and Tim Moore were able to pick up a game at third doubles in their first match action of the season.

SINGLES RESULTS
-Dom Ramsden dropped the first singles matchup by a final of 6-1, 6-2.
-Alex Noel put together a hard-fought second set, but was defeated at second singles, 6-3, 6-1.
-Michael Chartier came up short at third singles in a 6-1, 6-0 decision.
-Zach Malcolm was defeated at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-1

AUGSBERGER ON TUESDAY'S MATCH
"In doubles we gave away too many unreturned serves. In singles we for the most part extended some points too long. We have to get more return work in and hammer down that transition from even rally to offensive shot."

"Alex [Noel] had the best showing. He was also following every court, it seemed, and exhorting the boys. Hoff has a ton of reach at net, and Alex was making him bend and move more than he'd want to. Just in the big moments, Hoff came up big. That first set could've gone either way, and the second started that way too."
