IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's tennis team played the first match of their 2019 season over new head coach
Michael Augsberger, and the Macs capitalized with an 8-1 victory over Rosemont.
DOUBLES RESULTS
-Seniors
Dom Ramsden and
Alex Noel won 8-4 in first doubles
-Sophomore
Michael Chartier and freshman Zachary Malcolm in second doubles and sophomore
Will Helm and junior
Connor Lindsay at third doubles each won 8-1
SINGLES RESULTS
-Ramsden cruised at first singles, 6-0, 6-1 and Malcolm claimed the first win of his career at four singles, 6-1, 6-1
-Helm won without dropping a game, 6-0, 6-0, at fifth singles, and Lindsay won at sixth, 6-2, 6-1
-Noel won 6-1 and claimed a hard fought second set, 7-5
WHAT THEY SAID
-Malcolm: "Today was a good day to get out there for our first match of the new season. Felt good to finally compete and put out there what I've been working on. Look forward to the new season, should be a good one."
