IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (0-1) opened their 2019 season against Swarthmore (1-0) at Draper Walsh Stadium, and the Mighty Macs fell behind and struggled to catch up in a 15-1 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Garnet got off to a strong start, netting the first four goals of the game and controlling the pace, but the Macs got on the board 12:16 into the contest with a goal by Murray to cut the deficit to 4-1
-Swarthmore then possessed and scored four more times, despite the great efforts of junior goalie
Emily Schumann and IU trailed 8-1 at the break
-Swarthmore would put the game away in the second half with four goals in the opening 10 minutes as they dealt IU a season opening defeat
