ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's volleyball team returned to the court for the first time since its inaugural match Saturday afternoon at Eastern to take part in the host Eagles' tri-match with Lehman. The Mighty Macs fell in both matches on the day, and now look forward to their first Continental Volleyball Conference match Tuesday night against Rutgers-Newark.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After dropping the first set 25-14, the Mighty Macs controlled the second set early on with a pair of
Garrett Pepper aces to give IU a 5-3 advantage. The Macs were able to take advantage of several Lehman miscues to take a 13-10 lead in the middle stages of the set.
-The Lightning put together a rally to draw even with the Macs at 15, but three-straight Jordan Geller service aces put IU back up three at 19-16.
-Lehman responded right back with four-straight points to take a 20-19 lead and the Macs were unable to mount a rally to the end of the set, falling 25-22.
-The Macs opened the third set with three consecutive points - including a Pepper kill and a
Matthew Lynn ace - but Lehman went on to score 10 of the next 12 points and go on to win the final set of the match, 25-15.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Eastern jumped out to an 11-3 lead early on in the first set as the Macs struggled to get a rally going and ultimately dropped the first set, 25-14.
-Despite dropping the first four points of the second set, the Macs battled back to get within four in the later stages at 16-12. Pepper, Lynn and
Bryce Wiltbank all recorded kills to get the Macs within striking distance, but Eastern went on to take nine of the final 12 points of the set to take it 25-15.
-The Macs were unable to get in a rhythm in the third and final set as the Eagles took the final set and match of the day, 25-9.
