SCRANTON,Pa.-Looking to advance back to the Atlantic East Championship game for the second year in a row, the Immaculata University women's soccer team traveled to Scranton for the Atlantic East semifinals vs top-seed and reigning Champion Marywood. Immaculata battled throughout but it was not enough to avoid the setback as Marywood scored one goal in each half to earn the 2-0 victory and return to the Atlantic East Championship game once again in 2019.

In the early going of the first half, each side had its chances but neither team was able to capitalize throughout much of the half. Late in the first half, Marywood scored the first goal of the contest with just 18 seconds to play until halftime to give the host Pacers a lead heading to the halftime break.

In the second half of play, each team had its chances but it was a Marywood goal in the 80^th minute, which gave the Pacers a solid 2-0 lead late in the contest.

At the end of the contest, Immaculata ended with a 23-16 edge in shots while Marywood ended the game with a slim 10-8 lead in shots on goal. Immaculata also ended the game with a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.  

In between the pipes, Brooke Shissler worked hard as the sophomore made eight impressive saves t slow down the explosive Pacer offense while her counterpart made eight saves of her own in the shutout.
