IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's soccer team saw its three-match unbeaten streak come to a halt Thursday night at Draper Walsh Stadium, as the Mighty Macs dropped a 4-0 decision to Rutgers Camden. The Macs were unable to capitalize on their limited opportunities on the night despite strong midfield play from
Connor Lindsay.
Mikey Kalpokas made a pair of saves in the effort for the Macs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Rutgers Camden struck first in the opening moments of the game, as a through ball from just inside midfield was met by the foot of Skylar Diggs on the right edge of the 18 who then finished bottom left.
-The visitors found the back of the net seven minutes later to take a 2-0 advantage as the Macs began to utilize their bench to spark the offense.
-Zach Malcolm and
Mark Staudenmayer both were able to get off shots on goal in the final five minutes of the opening half, but both were to no avail.
-Rutgers Camden came out of the half and netted its third goal of the evening in the 51st minute, the second for Diggs.
-The Macs registered just two shots on the second half and ultimately fell by a final of 4-0.
