Mighty Macs Dominate In 5-0 Victory

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team (2-3) responded to a two-game losing skid in a big way with a dominant 5-0 victory over Bryn Athyn (0-4) on Monday night at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Junior Nick Boule had three goals, the first hat trick of his career, while freshman Stephen Bradley and senior Mark Staudenmayer each scored their first goals of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs dominated the first half of play, outshooting the Lions 13-1, and taking advantage of a couple of those opportunities
-In the 15th minute, Boule got his first goal of the night on a defensive miscue.  He stole the ball and moved in on the left and put it right between the goalie's legs for a 1-0 IU lead
-In the 18th minute, Bradley scored the first goal of his collegiate career when he ripped a shot from 35 yards out that just went over the goalie's hands and under the crossbar for a 2-0 lead
-The Macs continued to pressure, generating plenty of offense, but couldn't add to the lead by halftime
-In the 49th minute, Boule got his second goal on a beautiful feed from senior Alex Noel 10 yards out and Boule buried it for a 3-0 advantage
-Staudenmayer added his first of the season as Noel slipped him a pass between defenders and Staudenmayer hit a hard shot to the lower right corner for a 4-0 lead
-Boule put the finishing touches on a career night and a 5-0 victory as he took a pass from Bradley about 40 yards out, carried in on the left side and put it into the right side
