RADNOR, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's lacrosse team (4-12, 2-5 CSAC) brought its 2018 season to a close Wednesday afternoon, dropping a 27-10 decision at Cabrini in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) competition.
Senior
Mike Reardon netted five goals and assisted on three others for eight points in his final game for the Macs, bringing his single-season program record total to 51 goals on the year. Fellow senior
Brian Shultis scored four goals and added three assists for seven points in his final collegiate action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Cabrini netted two quick goals to start the afternoon, but
Steve Long put the Macs on the board at the 11:12 mark of the first quarter.
-Following a man-up goal from the Cavaliers shortly after,
Mike Reardon answered right back with his first of five tallies to cut the deficit to two.
-Cabrini went on an 8-0 run to end the first quarter to take a nine-goal lead.
Brian Shultis ended the streak with his first goal of the afternoon at the 8:27 mark of the second quarter.
-After going into halftime trailing 16-4, Reardon started the scoring in the second half with his second goal of the day before Shultis added back-to-back tallies to continue the IU run, the Macs' sixth and seventh goals at the time.
-The Cavaliers stretched out their lead with three-straight goals to end the third quarter and three more to begin the fourth. Reardon netted his 50th and 51st goals of the season in the fourth to cap his career, while Shultis picked up his fourth of the afternoon and 43rd of the year in his final collegiate minutes.

Tyler Freas made a season-high 14 saves in the effort for the Macs.
