HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The Immaculata University women's lacrosse posted its fourth-straight win Saturday afternoon at Centenary behind a balanced offensive attack, taking the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matcup 15-2. Six different Macs posted two goals on the afternoon, including
Nicole Dominick who added five assists for a team-leading seven points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Immaculata scored the game's first 12 goals - ten of which came in the first half.
-Anna DiDonato,
Hannah Verrecchia, Maura Murray and
Layne Kennedy all netted a pair of goals in the first half while holding Centenary to only one shot on goal in the opening 30 minutes.
Nicole Dominick and
Brittany Whaley also added single tallies in the period.
-Up 10-0,
Olivia Carter and
Rosemarie Reitman opened the second half with goals in the first ten minutes of the final half before Centenary broke the shutout at the 16:11 mark.
-Whaley and Dominick each netted their second goals of the game before the final whistle, and
Kelly McNally pitched in with her first goal of the season as the Macs cruised to a 15-2 victory.
TEAM COMPARISON
-Immaculata held a wide advantage in shots on the day, leading 28-8. IU led both halves 14-4.
-IU dominated in the shots on goal category, 27-4.
-The Macs committed 21 turnovers, but caused Centenary into 25 turnovers.
-IU was a perfect 12-for-12 on clears, while limiting the Cyclones to a 9-for-29 clip.
-The Macs owned the advantage in ground balls, 32-21.
