IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immacualta University men's tennis team got a strong effort in its singles matches, taking three of six, but losses in all three doubles matches to Gwynedd Mercy to begin the day ultimately downed the Macs, 6-3.
Michael Chartier and
Chase Bernier each produced singles wins in third-set tiebreakers for IU.
DOUBLES RESULTS

Alex Noel and
Dom Ramsden at first and Chartier and Chartier and
Alex Brescia at third each dropped 8-3 decisions.
-Bernier and
Will Helm were defeated in the second slot, 8-6.
SINGLES RESULTS
-Chartier was locked into a battle at third singles, but came out on top after securing the third-set tiebreaker, 10-8. Chartier lost the first set 4-6 but rallied to take the second 6-1.
-Bernier faced a similar fate at fourth singles, taking the first set 6-1 but dropping the second 1-6. Bernier would go on to rally for a 10-8 triumph in the tiebreaker.
-Helm produced a decisive win at sixth singles, cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
