WESTMINISTER, Md. - The Immaculata men's lacrosse team scored three straight goals to to end the first half and even the score at four at McDaniel Wednesday night, but seven unanswered second half tallies from the hosts ultimately downed the Macs, 13-6. The Macs had five different goal-scorers on the night, led by two from senior
Brian Shultis.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-McDaniel came out quickly to score three unanswered goals in the first six-plus minutes, but Shultis was able to get the Macs on the board with a tally at the 5:14 mark of the first quarter.
-Following the fourth McDaniel goal of the night to stretch the deficit back to three, Immaculata came storming back with three unanswered of their own to end the half and knot things at four.

Denton States kept the hosts off the board for the final eleven minutes of the opening half.
-McDaniel was quick to regain the lead in the second half, netting two goals in the first 69 seconds of the third quarter to make it a 6-4 game.
-Despite a penalty creating an extra-man opportunity for McDaniel,
Ethan Johnson found the twine just 51 seconds later to get the Macs back within one.
-McDaniel then turned it on offensively, ripping off seven unanswered goals to break the game open.
-Shultis added the final goal of the game with under three minutes left in the fourth.
TEAM COMPARISON
-The Macs outshot McDaniel 13-11 in the first half, but lost the advantage overall, 38-20.
-McDaniel won 15-of-20 faceoffs on the night, including a perfect 6-for-6 mark in the third quarter.
-IU committed 18 turnovers opposite McDaniel's 14.
-The Macs failed to convert on any of their three extra-man opportunities, while holding McDaniel to a 1-for-4 clip.
-IU collected 21 ground balls on the night, led by three each from Bausman, Long and Nale.
