FREDERICK, Md.- The Immaculata men's basketball team (0-2) looked to bounce back from a season opening defeat against Delaware Valley in the opener of the weekend tournament hosted by Hood College, but the Macs were undone by a 26-0 run in the first half against Randolph-Macon and were unable to recover in an 83-56 loss.

Mike Piekarski led the Mighty Macs with 19 points while junior
Jordan Ambrose and sophomore
Asa Kitchen each had 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-IU took their first lead at 4-2 on a jump shot three minutes in and the lead went up to 6-2 on another bucket by Piekarski
-The Macs got their lead as large as six at 10-4 after a couple free throws by Piekarski and it sat at 14-9 eight minutes into the game, but that's when Randolph-Macon took control
-They went on a 26-0 run over the next nine minutes as the Macs were held scoreless until a three pointer by junior
Andre Allen snapped the skid with the Macs trailing 35-14
-The Mighty Macs went into the half trailing 42-20
-The Macs were unable to cut significantly into the deficit as they were outscored 41-36 in the second half in the loss
