ASTON, Pa.- The fourth-seeded Immaculata men's soccer team (9-10-1) was in search of their second conference final appearance in program history as they travelled to top-seeded Neumann (10-4-2) on Thursday night in an Atlantic East Conference Tournament Semifinal, but a first half goal gave the Knights some momentum and the Macs were unable to recover in a 3-0 loss that ended their 2018 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs nearly got on the scoreboard first as senior
Alex Noel slipped in behind the defense on a deflected ball and headed it toward the net, but the keeper was there for the save
-Neumann got the first tally with a 22
nd minute goal to give them a 1-0 lead in a competitive first half
-In the second half, the Knights grew their lead with goals in the 57
th and 73
rd minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead with less than 20 minutes to go
-The Macs pushed their offensive efforts forward as sophomore
Kevin Hegarty made a good run and nearly scored, but the Neumann keeper was there again in the shutout loss for IU
