ATLANTIC EAST CONFERENCE MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
RADNOR, Pa.- For the second time in the past three seasons, the No. 4 Immaculata men's soccer team will be playing for a spot in the conference championship game as they travel to No. 1 Neumann on Thursday night for the Atlantic East Conference semifinals in the first-ever version of the conference tournament. This is a rematch from a good game on October 20
th between the two schools that saw Neumann win in double overtime with 57 seconds left on a goal by Ainsley Reid. The Macs took 1-0 lead on a goal by senior
Mark Staudenmayer, and after Neumann tied it, they took a 2-1 lead on a tally by freshman
Omar Ba. The Knights tied it with under five minutes to go before the end of regulation and took the game in extra time.

-The Mighty Macs finished in fourth in the Atlantic East with a 3-3 mark and now hold a 9-9-1 record overall. The Knights grabbed the first place spot with an unbeaten 5-0-1 record and have a 9-4-2 record overall
-The Mighty Macs reached the semifinals with a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory over No. 5 Marymount on Tuesday night in the quarterfinals. Freshman

Nick Boule to send the Macs to the next round
-The Knights played to a 0-0 tie with Wesley, but otherwise defeated every other team in the Atlantic East with one goal victories over Cabrini, Immaculata, and Marywood, and two-goal margins over Marymount and Gwynedd Mercy
-The Macs are third in the Atlantic East in scoring at 1.47 goals per game and fourth in goals allowed at 1.42. Neumann is second in the league with 1.67 goals per game and third best in goals allowed with 1.20.

Alex Noel continues to lead the Mighty Macs in goals scored with eight, tied for second most in the Atlantic East, and 21 points, also second best in the conference. Freshman
Zachary Malcolm has four goals, second best on the squad while Boule and Staudenmayer are tied for third with three apiece. IU has 12 different goal scorers this season
-Neumann is led by a pair of six goal scorers in Marlon Trego and Gavin Ford, which is tied for fifth best in the Atlantic East. Nick Testa checks in with four while Ainsley Reid and Andrew Kelly also had two each

Mikey Kalpokas is fourth in the league with a goals against average of 1.22, a save percentage of .787, and five shutouts, tied for most in the conference. Shane Smith has done a majority of the goalkeeping for the Knights and his goals against average of 0.99 is third best in the league with a .816 save percentage.
-The Mighty Macs are seeking their second conference championship game appearance in program history after making their first in 2009. The winner of this game will play the winner of No. 3 Wesley and No. 2 Cabrini.
