ATLANTIC EAST CONFERENCE MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team enters the first ever Atlantic East Conference Tournament tonight as the fourth seed and will host the fifth-seeded Marymount University Saints at Draper Walsh Stadium at 7 p.m. Tonight's game is a rematch of an October 10
th game between the squads at Marymount that the Mighty Macs dominated, 5-1. The Macs scored twice in the opening 5:10 with goals from junior
Connor Lindsay and sophomore
Kevin Hegarty. After the Saints cut the deficit in half, the Macs quickly responded with a goal by senior
Alex Noel to take a 3-1 lead at half. Freshman
Zachary Malcolm added a goal early in the second half and Noel finished off the game with a penalty kick goal in the 68
th minute.

NEWS & NOTES
-The Mighty Macs went 8-9-1 overall this season with a 3-3 record in Atlantic East play to finish in fourth while Marymount was 4-12 overall with a conference mark of 2-4. The Macs enter having lost three consecutive games to the teams ahead of them in the standings, Neumann, Cabrini, and Wesley while Marymount most recently defeated Galludet in non-conference play. They registered their two victories in Atlantic East play over Marywood and Gwynedd Mercy, each by a score of 2-1.
-This season, the Macs are third in the Atlantic East in goals per game at 1.50, just ahead of Marymount at 1.31. Defensively, the Macs are fourth in goals allowed, also at 1.50, and Marymount is sixth at 2.63.
-Despite missing three games,
Alex Noel leads the Mighty Macs with eight goals and is second in the league with that number. He added a team-high five assists for 21 points, also good for second in the league. Malcolm is second on the team with four goals and tied for ninth in the Atlantic East
-Senior
Mark Staudenmayer has three goals and three assists, while junior
Nick Boule also has three goals. Sophomore
Chad Catalana and Lindsay are the other multi-goal scorers with two each. Eleven different Mighty Macs have scored their 27 goals
-Mynor Danillo Lopez is the leading scorer for the Saints with six goals, good for a fourth place tie in the Atlantic East. Sebastian Hendi has four goals, while Anthony Caledron, Chris Cardenas, and Reuben George have each scored twice
-In goal, sophomore
Mikey Kalpokas has a goals against average of 1.29, fourth best in the league and has a save percentage of .785. Marymount has had two goalies play significant minutes this season. Ronald Clark has a 2-6 record and a 2.84 goals against average and Jonathan Josue Cruz has a 1-5 record with a 2.47 goals against average
-The Macs are making their third playoff appearance in their last four seasons and are playing their third consecutive home postseason game. The Macs are seeking their first conference postseason victory since 2009 when they went to the conference championship
