IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's soccer team (4-8, 1-2) hosted their second straight Atlantic East contest on Saturday as Gwynedd Mercy came to Draper Walsh Stadium, and the Macs were unable to overcome a first half Griffin goal and fell 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first half was very evenly played between the two conference rivals, but the Griffins scored the lone goal of the period in the 19
th minute on a free kick from just inside midfield that was volleyed in from the top of the box, just off the hands of freshman goalie

-In the second half, the Mighty Macs increased the offensive pressure s they had a great chance of a corner early when sophomore
Riley Rudd hit a shot from the top of the box that the keeper stopped with a full extension dive
-With under 15 minutes to go, the Macs had a three-on-two, but an errant pass ended the scoring opportunity
-IU continued to push for the equalizer, but were unable to break through in a tough 1-0 loss
