Macs Fall On Senior Night, 3-0

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team dropped their regular season finale on a cold night at Draper Walsh Stadium to Gwynedd Mercy (10-5-1, 8-2-1 CSAC) by a count of 3-0.  The Mighty Macs (6-8-2, 6-5-0 CSAC) now head into the CSAC postseason as the number six seed and will play in the CSAC Quarterfinals on Monday night at No. 3 Cabrini.
 
Prior to the game, the Mighty Macs recognized their lone senior, Allie Tracey.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The teams battled each way in the early going with them both developing some chances, but it was Gwynedd who broke through with a goal off a corner in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead at the break
-Gwynedd added to their lead in the 48th minute and put the game away in the 83rd minute with another tally
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-Each team had 13 shots with six apiece in the first half and seven in the second half
-Gwynedd had five corners to three for IU
-Freshman Riley Rudd led the team with five shots
-Senior Allie Tracey made five saves in her final game at Draper Walsh Stadium

-The Macs head to Cabrini on Monday night for the CSAC Quarterfinals.
