IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team closed the 2017 season in emphatic fashion with a 6-0 victory over Gwynedd Mercy. The Macs finished the season 6-10-1 with a 4-5 record in the CSAC which left them out of the CSAC playoffs on a tiebreaker to Cairn.

Michael D'Orio each enjoyed the first multi-goal games of their career while junior
Mark Staudenmayer and sophomore
Nick Boule each scored as well.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Macs wasted no time as Molz got a header just 72 seconds into the game off a corner to put the Macs in front 1-0
-IU extended that lead in the ninth minute to 2-0 as Boule converted an opportunity. The lead would stay 2-0 throughout the first half despite the Macs outshooting the Griffins, 10-1
-In the second half, the Macs didn't stop as Molz netted his second of the game on an assist from Boule in the 48
th minute, and just two and a half minutes later, Staudenmayer got in on the action to make it 4-0
-In the 59
th minute, D'Orio got in the scoring column, and he added his second on a pass from junior
Eric Case in the 62
nd minute to get to the final of 6-0
