IMMACULATA, Pa. - On Tuesday afternoon, Immaculata men's soccer (5-3-1) shut out visiting Bryn Athyn (2-7) at Draper Walsh Stadium by a final score of 4-0. The men's soccer team wrapped up its current three-game home stand with shutout victories in its last two contests.

In the first half, the Mighty Macs outshot the Lions by a 6-1 margin. Immaculata senior goalkeeper
Joe Lubonski had a relatively easy first half of play as the Mighty Mac defense kept the Lions from getting many chances in the box. In spite of out possessing the Lions, the Macs could not convert any of their chances into goals.

The Macs offense came alive in the second half as they scored four goals in a 10-miute span. The Macs began the scoring in the 53rd minute when senior
Kyle Jumalon scored off a great pass from junior
Ben Gialloreto. The Macs struck again 55 seconds later when senior
Alec Schuler took a pass from sophomore
Alex Noel and deposed the ball in the lower left corner.

In the 56th minute, the Macs capitalized when senior
Pat Friend scored on a pass from Gialloreto, his second assist of the match. In the 63rd minute, Gialloreto joined in on the scoring off a great pass from sophomore
Mark Staudenmayer.

The Macs outshot the Lions by a tally of 14-4 during the match.

Immaculata had three goalkeepers combine for the shutout as Lubonski (one save) played the first 68 minutes before being relieved by fellow senior
Billy Hegarty (one save). Hegarty was eventually relieved by freshman
John King.

The Macs next game is Saturday, October 1, when they go to play Keystone at 4 p.m.
