Box Score

READING, Pa. – Alex Noel and Nick Boule each scored a pair of goals as Immaculata men's soccer got the 2016 season off to a 4-3 win on the road at Albright.

Boule capped a three-goal run by the Mighty Macs during the second half with the game-winning goal in the 86th minute off a corner kick. Boule, who had scored the third goal for Immaculata on a breakaway to tie the contest at 3-3 in the 68th minute, was able to fool the Lions goalkeeper and the ball went in the net off the corner.

Alex Noel evened the score at 1-1 with his penalty kick goal in the 20th minute, but Albright scored just before the first half clock expired for a 2-1 edge at halftime.

The Lions scored once more during the first six minutes of the second half to extend their lead to 3-1 in the 51st minute. However, Noel scored again for the Mighty Macs 13 minutes later to start the comeback streak.

IU goalkeeper Joe Lubonski played all 90 minutes for the win while making just three stops.

Immaculata held a heavy 9-1 advantage in corner opportunities for the contest.

The Mighty Macs continue their road stretch on Saturday as they travel to Penn State Berks at 1 p.m.
