Men's Tennis Gets 7-2 Win Opposite Keystone

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata's men's tennis team got a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory Thursday afternoon against Keystone, 7-2, at the IU Tennis Courts on a picture perfect afternoon.
 
The Mighty Macs (3-7, 2-3 CSAC) started the match sweeping doubles. Top doubles pair of Patrick Tierno and Michael Griffin III won 8-1 against Maleik Torres and Robert Azzarelli. Stephen Smith and John Binner teamed up at second doubles to down John Masten and Dan Greenip, 8-4, while Dom Ramsden and Mark Hueber were 8-2 winners against Jordan Joyce and Tyler Valinksi at the third spot.
 
Immaculata won four of the six singles matches, and a fifth match went into a tie-breaker. Smith won 7-5, 6-0 at second singles, while Ramsden won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at third singles. Hueber was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in the fifth hole, and Griffin III only gave up one game at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-1.
 
The Mighty Macs play their final home match of the season tomorrow afternoon against Summit at 4 p.m.
