IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata field hockey (7-11, 3-3 CSAC) hosted Cedar Crest (4-9, 1-5 CSAC) on Senior Day at Draper Walsh Stadium with the Mighty Macs going on to win by a final score of 3-1. The field hockey program honored its seven seniors and senior manager with a pregame ceremony.

In the first half, the Macs dominated possession and outshot the Falcons by a 9-2 margin. The Falcons' goalkeeper Cassandra Rejigers did well keeping her team in the game with six saves in the first half and just one goal allowed. The Mighty Macs broke the scoreless game in the 13th minute when
Megan Donegan scored her 12th goal of the season.

In the second half, Immaculata continued to dominate the possession as they ended up with 14 shots compared to just six by Cedar Crest. The Mighty Macs scored twice more in the game, once in the 45th minute when senior Hayley O'Donnell got a pass from freshman
Colleen Bradley, and again in the 52nd minute when Donegan scored on a feed from Bradley for her second goal and second assist of the day, respectively.Â

Sarah Pasternak and company played a strong first half effectively limiting the Falcons chances on goal. Senior goalie
Emily Beavers relieved Pasternak for the second half, making two saves while surrendering one goal.

The Falcons put one on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute when the ball deflected around prior to finding the stick of freshman McKenna Hunt who fed senior Samantha VanBeers for the goal to help the Falcons avoid the shutout.

The Mighty Macs finish up the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 27, hosting Cabrini at 4 p.m.
