IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata volleyball moved to 4-2 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play as it picked up a 3-0 sweep against Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday afternoon inside Alumnae Hall. The Mighty Macs won with set scores 25-12, 25-18 an 25-18.

Immaculata (7-11, 4-2 CSAC) was led by three players who all recorded double-double performances.
Arden Vizzard had team highs in both kills (11) and digs (14), while
Gabrielle Guerrera made 10 kills and 14 digs.
Olivia Zdradzinski recorded 29 assists and 11 digs.

Shelby Belk added eight kills, six total blocks and five digs for the Mighty Macs.
Molly Truitt made eight digs and served up four aces, and
Olivia Carter made seven digs.

Immaculata started the match out with a 6-0 run on Gwynedd Mercy (9-13, 4-4 CSAC). The Mighty Macs put together a seven-point run to extend their lead to 23-7 on the Griffins. Gwynedd Mercy had a late four-point run, but a kill from Vizzard sealed the set for Immaculata at 25-12.

The Mighty Macs again started out strong in the second half with an 8-2 lead. Gwynedd Mercy trailed by just four points (10-6) when the Mighty Macs went on a 7-1 run to take a 10-point edge (17-7). Immaculata maintained a 10-point advantage when Gwynedd Mercy won four points in-a-row to close the gap to seven (21-15). However, Immaculata went on to win the second set, 25-18.

Immaculata and Gwynedd Mercy were neck-and-neck during the first part of the set, and the Griffins held a slight lead for a majority of the early going. Gwynedd Mercy was ahead, 11-8, when Immaculata capitalized on a side-out to start a 5-0 run for the Macs to give them a 13-11 lead. It proved a lead Immaculata would not relinquish after a 6-1 spurt for the Mighty Macs set up match-point at 24-16.

Immaculata is on the road Tuesday at Cedar Crest for a CSAC match at 7 p.m.
