Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – Visiting Alvernia was able to edge out Immaculata University in non-conference men's soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, 2-1.
It appeared the Crusaders and Mighty Macs might be headed into overtime when Alvernia's Andrew Baylor went top shelf in the 86th minute for the game-winning goal.
The two teams were deadlocked at halftime, and it was an evenly played half as both teams had six shots.
Alvernia (4-2-4) broke through first just 1:57 into the second half when Kevin MacFarland headed in Austin Young's free kick.
It didn't take the Mighty Macs long to respond as
Kyle Jumalon scored his fifth goal of the season in the 55th minute.
After Alvernia scored the go-ahead goal, Immaculata did everything it could to get the equalizer, but both shots the Mighty Macs had were off the mark.

The Mighty Macs (3-6) get back into conference play on Saturday when they head to Neumann at 3 p.m.
