Box Score LANGHORNE, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball team improved to 2-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) as the Mighty Macs traveled to Cairn University Thursday night and swept the Highlanders, 3-0.
The Mighty Macs controlled the match from the start and won by scores of 25-6, 25-9 and 25-4. Immaculata improves to 6-4 overall, 2-0 in the CSAC. Cairn dropped to 0-3 in league play and 0-11 overall.
Tess Kieffer paced the Mighty Macs with seven kills.
Emily Swank and
Shelby Belk each added six kills. Swank also made eight digs, while Belk recorded two service aces.
Maranda Jones dished out 20 assists.
Madi Curley amassed seven service aces, and
Nicole Taylor and
Morgan Wentz each posted two solo blocks. Leading the defensive effort for Immaculata was
Molly Truitt with 10 digs.
Immaculata is back in action next Wednesday, Sept. 30, hosting Neumann at 7 p.m. in CSAC action.
