Men's Soccer Tripped Up By Penn State Berks, 2-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata men's soccer was defeated Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action by Penn State Berks, 2-0, at Draper Walsh Stadium.
 
The Nittany Lions (2-2-1) found the back of the goal in the 30th minute as Joe Budnovitch capitalized on a feed from Omar Guzman. Budnovitch later added a tally in the 89th minute to seal the game.
 
The Mighty Macs (1-4) won the battle of shots (15-8) and corner kicks (8-2) but were unable to score.
 
Immaculata had many golden opportunities, especially late in the game to net the equalizer. Kyle Jumalon dove in front of the goal for a header that went just inches wide in the 79th minute.
 
The Mighty Macs thought they had tied the game at 1-1 in the 87th minute as Pat Friend came out of a scramble in front of the net to score off Alex Noel's indirect kick, but Friend was called for being offsides.
 
Joe Lubonski made four saves for the Mighty Macs in the loss.
 
Immaculata continues its home stand Saturday at 3 p.m. hosting Delaware Valley.
