Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (0-4) fired out of the gates scoring two of the first three goals to take a 2-1 lead over Swarthmore (1-2) in a road non-conference game, but the Garnet went on to score the final seven goals of the contest to top the Mighty Macs, 8-2.

Brooke Robinson scored her second goal in as many games, and senior
Patsy Murphy scored her first goal of the season to account for the Mighty Mac scoring.

Junior goalie
Christine McIntyre got the start and allowed three goals and made nine saves. Junior
Sarah Pasternak made three saves and allowed five goals.

The Mighty Macs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just 88 seconds into the game as Robinson took a pass from freshman
Hilary Burkholder and put it into the back of the net to stake IU to the early one goal lead.Â

The Garnet got the equalizer in the eighth minute, and the teams would remain tied 1-1 into the later parts of the first half.

In the 24
th minute, Murphy got a rebound off of a goalie save and deposited it into the back of the net and put the Macs up 2-1.

Swarthmore would tie it in the 29
th minute and then take a 3-2 lead with just over a minute to play before halftime.

In the second half, it was all Swarthmore as they scored all five goals in the second half to close out the non-conference win.

Immaculata will go back to work on Tuesday when they travel to Haverford for a non-conference contest.
