Box Score DOVER, Del.- The Immaculata field hockey team started their 2015 season with a road trip to Wesley on Tuesday night, and the Mighty Macs (0-1) struggled to get going in a 3-0 loss to the Wolverines (1-0).

Junior goalies
Sarah Pasternak and
Christine McIntyre combined to make 25 saves on the night, but allowed just three goals. Pasternak surrendered two in the first half and McIntyre allowed one in the second half. Additionally junior
Haley O'Donnell made one defensive save and sophomore
Cayla Williams made one as well.

Offensively, the Mighty Macs had 10 shots overall with eight on goal. Sophomore
Brooke Robinson had three shots to lead the team and senior
Patsy Murphy added two shots.

The Macs were battling early as it was scoreless through the first 14 minutes until Wesley scored twice in 91 seconds to take a 2-0 lead.

Wesley controlled the pace much of the game and would add their third goal in the 68
th minute to put the game away.Â

Immaculata will stay on the road this coming Friday with a 7 p.m. trip to Widener.
