Men's Tennis Drops Their 2015 Season Opener To Alvernia, 9-0

?IMMACULATA, Pa.-
 The Immaculata men's tennis team opened their 2015 season on Tuesday afternoon and they came away with a 9-0 defeat at Alvernia.  The Macs (1-0) will play two more non-conference matches this week.

In doubles, junior Nick Coia and freshman Patrick Tierno in first doubles, and senior Will DeSantis and sophomore John Binner at second doubles each lost 8-0 in their matches, while sophomores Mark Hueber and Stephen Smith fell 8-2 in third doubles.

In singles play, Binner had the closest match in the fifth position as he dropped his match, 6-3, 6-4. Smith, in the fourth spot, and senior Alessandro Mazzone, in the sixth position, both fell 6-1, 6-2.

The Mighty Macs will look to bounce back with their first win of the season at home on Thursday when they host PSU-Brandywine at 3:30.
