Box Score Photo GalleryRADNOR, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball season came to a close on Thursday night as the fourth-seeded Mighty Macs traveled to top-seeded Cabrini in the semifinal round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament. The host Cavaliers were able to advance to the conference championship match with their 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-22) win opposite the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata ends the year with a 14-8 overall record after finishing CSAC play with a mark of 8-3. Cabrini improves to 24-9 with the win. Cabrini will host second-seed Neumann in the CSAC title match on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Morgan Wentz led Immaculata with six kills, a .333 hitting percentage and three block assists.
Gabrielle Guerrera added five kills, seven digs and two block assists, while
Arden Vizzard totaled four kills and 12 digs.

Maranda Jones dished up 17 assists and had seven digs.
Molly Truitt led the back with 17 digs.

Immaculata stayed with Cabrini at the beginning of the first set trailing by just three in the early going, 11-8. That's when the Cavaliers got on a five-point run to jump in front 16-9, and they pushed it to 19-10 before Immaculata called a timeout. The Mighty Macs came out of the timeout with a six-point spurt to trim the Cavaliers lead to three (19-16). Immaculata cut its deficit to two points twice down the final stretch (22-20 and 23-21), but Cabrini ended the set with two points off blocks for the early 1-0 lead in the match.

Cabrini took the first five points of the second set for the early advantage, and Immaculata was unable to climb back in the set.

Immaculata rallied in the third set as it won the opening four points, and was able to keep Cabrini from taking the lead until the Cavaliers went ahead by a score of 7-6. The set was even at 10-10 when the Cavaliers won nine of the next 12 points to extend their lead to 19-13. The Mighty Macs battled back winning five of six points to get within two (20-18). After Cabrini made it 21-18, Wentz and Truitt each had a kill to pull Immaculata within one, 21-20. The Mighty Macs would not go down without a battle, but the Cavaliers eventually got the best of the Macs, 25-22.
