Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University volleyball won its final non-conference match of the regular season Thursday night with a 3-0 sweep against Penn State Abington. The Mighty Macs took the match with scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-17.
The Mighty Macs (9-4) had a trio of hitters all in double figures.
Arden Vizzard paced the team with a double-double performance of 14 kills and 10 digs.
Gabrielle Guerrera had 12 kills, and
Shelby Belk recorded 10 kills.
Maranda Jones dished out 42 assists.
Four Immaculata players collected double-digit digs.
Molly Truitt had a team-leading 18 digs, while
Allie Leonard had 17 digs, and
Colleen Martin made 12.
The first and third sets were close until the Mighty Macs pulled away at the end. In the second set, Immaculata scored six-straight points to open a 5-5 tie, and the Mighty Macs never looked back.
Immaculata heads to Summit on Saturday at 11 a.m. as it returns to CSAC action.
