Box Score SCRANTON, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (0-12, 0-2 CSAC) travelled to Marywood (5-5, 1-1 CSAC) on Tuesday afternoon for a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) showdown with the Pacers, and the Mighty Macs were unable to get going in a 5-0 defeat.
Sophomore
Cayla Williams led the team with two shots on goal, while senior
Patsy Murphy also had two shots. Freshman
Michelle Dubyk and junior
Brittany Robertson added one shot each.
Junior
Sarah Pasternak did all she could for the Macs in the cage as she made a season-high 17 saves.
The Pacers took control of the game in a 13-minute stretch in the first half as they scored three goals to take a commanding 3-0 lead. They got it started in the 17
th minute from Leanne McManus and Tori Jo Kakusian added goals in the 21
st and 30
th minutes.
In the second half, the Pacers got single goals in the 39
th minute and the 54
th minute.
For the game, IU had six shots and three penalty corners.
The Macs will be back at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday as they host Gwynedd Mercy at 1 p.m.
