GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Immaculata University men's soccer scored early and often as the visiting Mighty Macs defeated Gwynedd Mercy University, 4-1, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon.
 
Alec Schuler started the scoring in the second minute as he scored from the middle of the box to stake the Mighty Macs ahead, 1-0.
 
Alex Noel then gave the Mighty Macs a 2-0 edge in the 30th minute with his shot from in front of the goal, and just five minutes later Immaculata went up 3-0 as Schuler scored his second goal of the afternoon off a cross from Kyle Jumalon.
 
The Griffins got on the board in the 49th minute, but the Mighty Macs didn't rest. Schuler and Jumalon paired up once again as this time it was Schuler who fed the ball to Jumalon on a breakaway in the 66th minute.  
 
Joe Lubonski made three saves.
 
Immaculata improved to 6-8 overall and 4-2 in the CSAC. Gwynedd Mercy slips to 5-10-1, 2-2-1 CSAC.
 
Immaculata begins a two-game home stand on Wednesday evening hosting Ursinus at 6:30 p.m. in its final non-conference game of the season.
