SCRANTON, Pa. – Immaculata men's soccer traveled to Marywood Wednesday night and were defeated by the host Pacers, 4-2, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play.
 
The hosts scored right at the start just 90 seconds into the game, and by the seventh minute held a 2-0 lead on the Mighty Macs.
 
Immaculata was able to even the score at 2-2 by halftime as Stephen Smith scored twice. Smith tallied his first goal in the 24th minute as the ball slipped thru the goalkeeper's hands. Smith's second marker came with just six seconds on the clock as Pat Friend found him on a breakaway.
 
Marywood went ahead with a goal in the 53rd minute, and added one more in the 65th minute.
 
Joe Lubonski made 14 saves for the Mighty Macs.
 
Immaculata (5-8, 3-2 CSAC) will be at Gwynedd Mercy at noon on Saturday, Oct. 17.
