Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University volleyball got back in the winning track Thursday night with a non-conference sweep opposite visiting Wesley College, 3-0. The Mighty Macs were able to win by scores of 25-21, 25-10 and 25-16.

Immaculata improves to 10-2 overall while Wesley falls to 8-6.

Jamie Rombach was the only Immaculata hitter to reach double figures in kills (12). Rombach also added nine digs and two blocks.
Stephanie Johler finished with four kills and three total blocks.
Gabrielle Guerrera had three blocks and three kills, and
Marissa Casella posted two blocks.

The Mighty Macs and Wolverines battled in the opening set. There were two lead changes and eight times the score was tied. Immaculata took a 13-8 lead, but Wesley was able to hold on to keep it within three points. The Mighty Macs again extend their edge to five (16-11) when the Wolverines countered with five straight points on three kills and two service aces tying the match at 16-16. It would be tied for the final time at 20-all when Immaculata closed out the set winning five of six points.

Immaculata grabbed control early in both the second and third sets. The Mighty Macs jumped in front 12-3 in the second set and 13-3 in the third to control play.

Maranda Jones recorded 11 assists and four digs, and
Brittany Thompson had eight assists and a team-high three service aces.
Molly Truitt registered nine digs.

Immaculata plays its final non-conference matches of the season on Saturday. The Mighty Macs will take on Penn State Berks at noon followed by Alvernia at 2 p.m.
