Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 In Double OT

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Five minutes into the second overtime frame, DeSales University was able to break through for the only score of the contest and defeat Immaculata University men's soccer, 1-0, in non-conference play.
 
The Bulldogs' Alex Manzo was able to get to the ball as it popped off a save by Immaculata goalkeeper Michael Thompson and buried the ball in the side of net in the 105th minute for the game winner.
 
Immaculata slips to 0-4-1 overall, and DeSales improved to 2-3-1.
 
While DeSales outshot the Mighty Macs, 16-7, neither team had that many shots on goal (4-3, Immaculata). The Bulldogs led 14-7 on shots following regulation time, and the Mighty Macs did not have a shot during the overtime periods.
 
Tyler Budgick and Will Carr led Immaculata with two shots apiece.
 
Thompson made two saves during the game.
 
Immaculata will travel to Ursinus on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
