Mighty Macs Fall In Home Opener To Arcadia, 2-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's soccer team dropped its home opener on Wednesday afternoon to visiting Arcadia University by a 2-0 margin. The Mighty Macs fall to 0-3-1 this season while the Knights improved their mark to 3-0-1.
 
Immaculata's defense was able to hold off Arcadia's charge for the first 72 minutes of the contest. The Knights took 13 shots during that span and had several scoring opportunities broken up by the Mighty Macs' defensive unit.
 
Arcadia broke the scoreless game in the 73rd minute as Nick Morris was able to corral a loose ball in the box and boot it in the net.
 
The Knights added one more goal in the 88th minute as Morris found Matt Ross, who went running up the sideline all alone, for the goal.
 
Immaculata goalkeeper Michael Thompson recorded five saves.
 
The Mighty Macs got off five shots compared to the Knights' 17.
 
Immaculata will again be in action at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday hosting DeSales at 2:30 p.m.
